As many may know, Shenae Grimes, who plays “Darcy Edwards” on Degrassi: The next Generation will not be apart of the cast for he eighth season. She is now a lead role on the CW’s new series “90210″, spinoff to 90’s hit series “Beverly Hills 90210″. She plays Annie Mills, an aspiring actress who moves from Kansas to California with her family. The producers from 90210 probably saw Shenae on Degrassi and thought that she was a good actress and stole her. Its gonna be sad to see her leave, especially when “Darcy” character was a focal in season 7 of Degrassi. Shenae will also be in a feature film with fellow Degrassi alum Lauren Collins, who is also leaving the show. They will both in “Picture This”, a made-for-TV movie that will be on ABC Family starring Ashley Tisdale. Im gonna miss these girls on Degrassi, and ironically, those are the only two characters on the Degrassi who were raped. Degrassi also bringing in 8 new characters for the 8th season. Teen dramas next fall is going to be something. I cant wait to see Degarssi and 90210
